 Begonia ‘Izumo no Kiraboshi’ Variegated is a rare and stunning hybrid begonia cultivar from Japan, characterized by dark green leaves dotted with white spots featuring an array of colors such as pink, aurea and orange. It is a very unique begonia and probably my favorite at this point. The leaves are small and pointed, with slightly serrated, cut-like edges, and their undersides show a vibrant purple-red hue. It has been very easy to care for and propagate, unlike my other moody Begonias.

Light:

• Bright indirect light.

Soil:

• Requires well-draining. 
• A mix of tree fern fiber, coco perlite, repti bark.

Watering:

•  Water when almost dry as overwatering can lead to root rot
• Prefers to dry out between waterings (not too dry)

Temperature & Humidity: 

• Prefers temperatures on the cooler side between 60°F and 75°F (15°C to 24°C).
• Thrives in humid conditions
• Can be grown in ambient conditions
